When we took over Gifts International in 2004 we knew that the website would be the main shop window into our business. We knew what we liked on the Internet and what we considered the best of the online shopping services , but we didn’t have the technical expertise to achieve it. To remedy this position we embarked on a review with the existing web service provider. Unfortunately this was a very difficult experience and it became clear that we were speaking different languages; we suddenly found we were expected to understand a set of technical requirements that we found impossible to verify against our practical requirements.
Having come across INDIANCAMP by reference, we were surprised to find a company willing to talk about our requirements from our point of view. Instead of making us feel ignorant about the internet, INDIANCAMP helped us understand what we had in terms of an Internet presence, and what the possibilities were. Together we have created a strategy to increase the presence of Gifts International on the Internet that meets out needs.
Our initial requirement was to get the support for our website in place and working effectively. Whilst we have signed a support contract with INDIANCAMP we have had a completely different experience from our old support company – INDIANCAMP provided a proactive approach support that means that they initiate regular meetings with us to discuss further opportunities for our online store. They offer advice not only on the technical side of building a website, but are happy to advise us on writing content appropriate for the site which will boost the sites rankings on search engines.
In the last three months we have been working on our new website, which is close to being launched. INDIANCAMP have come up with a fresh new design and presentation for our business, to the extent that we have decided to take the design into all of our promotional material including our new catalogue.
We are confident that in INDIANCAMP we have found an IT support partner that we will be using to support our business well into the future.
